MLS LASER THERAPY

MLS laser therapy, a noninvasive regenerative medicine technique approved by the FDA, utilizes robotic laser technology to reduce inflammation, swelling, and pain through a combination of therapeutic wavelengths (808nm and 905nm). Unlike low-level laser therapy, MLS can induce strong anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, and analgesic effects simultaneously, making it an attractive option for patients seeking to avoid invasive treatments. Treatment typically involves 6–10 sessions delivered 2–3 times per week over 2–3 weeks, although factors such as insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and patient compliance can affect success rates.

Studies have shown promising results for MLS therapy in treating various conditions, including tendinopathies. A 2017 study demonstrated a significant reduction in pain symptoms in patients with tendinopathies after MLS treatment, with a 56.9% decrease in mean VAS score. Similarly, a 2013 study on chronic Achilles tendinopathy found that MLS laser triple therapy promoted tissue trophism and reduced inflammatory response more effectively compared to other treatments, potentially minimizing operating costs and the need for complex interventions. Further research is needed to enhance patient outcomes and advocate for broader coverage of these noninvasive regenerative treatments.
